Born in Riversdale, a small conservative farming town outside Cape Town, Kim van Vuuren ( aka Studio.Kim ) is a graphic designer, visual artist, and illustrator whose work has been praised for creative use of colors and color palettes.

She started her own creative studio, Studio.Kim, in Cape Town and has since moved to Barcelona with a focus on painting and illustration. Her work takes inspiration from life and small happenings, from buildings and food to memories and feelings.

I work in the field of visual identity design, visual art, illustration, painting, and web design. My work combines traditional graphic design techniques with contemporary graphics, typography, illustration and styling. I’m also a full time painter and illustrator, creating pieces for private and commercial use.
