overview
Founded in 1945 by Giuseppe Ostuni, Oluce is Italy’s oldest design company in the lighting industry. Its journey began with a bang at the IX Triennale in 1951, gaining international fame with Franco Buzzi’s Luminator and Tito Agnoli’s innovative lamps. Iconic collaborations with designers like Joe Colombo led to groundbreaking creations, such as the “Acrilica” table lamp, making Oluce a beacon of Italian design.
In the 1970s, under the Verderi family’s ownership, Vico Magistretti’s timeless designs, including the Atollo lamp, brought further acclaim. Oluce continues to evolve, blending its rich heritage with contemporary trends.
