Hand-blown through a traditional method with a wooden mold, the transparent glass base of the Bell Table is a piece of sculpture that introduces a certain classic touch to the space. It creates a striking contrast with the solid brass frame and dark tabletop while forming a harmonious piece with elegant curves resembling the silhouette of a bell.

Of all things, glass, a material that is intuitively more likely to have properties such as ‘delicate’ or ‘fragile’, gives massive support as a colored, transparent table base.

quote from classicon.com

The upper piece appears as a floating metal body with a dark reflective finish on its surface. It connects to the glass body through a narrow neck that extends down into the form of the base. This placement celebrates the texture and beauty of each element with well-defined lines while directing the attention to the colorful glass.

Each table is unique due to its hand-made nature; the curves, bumps, and even small bubbles on the surface of the glass are all features that show the process of the table’s design and production. It is a masterpiece of craftsmanship when a glass of this size and proportion is manufactured using the traditional method of blowing into a wooden mold.

Although the table was first introduced in 2012, Sebastian Herkner and ClassiCon introduced the Bell High Table in early 2020 in an effort to extend the series. Thanks to its dimensions, the High Bell Table is perfect as a highlight in the living or dining area, or as a stand-alone feature in lobbies and public areas.
