Carl-Axel Acking (1910–2001) was a prominent Swedish architect and designer known for his refined, functionalist approach that helped define mid-century Scandinavian modernism. Educated at Konstfack and the Royal Institute of Technology in Stockholm, Acking’s career spanned architecture, furniture, and industrial design.
His work combined clean lines with natural materials, emphasizing both practicality and elegance. Notable projects include the Trienna chair for Nordiska Kompaniet and the Swedish Embassy interiors in Tokyo. He was also a key figure in the H55 exhibition in Helsingborg.
