Charles and Ray Eames are best known for their incredible contributions to architecture, furniture, industrial design, and manufacturing. Their goal was always to leave a positive impact on the livelihood of people by increasing the quality of their living environment.
The duo married in 1941 and moved to California where they experimented with groundbreaking techniques of manufacturing furniture with molding plywood. In 1946, They began producing plywood furniture which was later named “the chair of the century” by Esther McCoy. Today their products are manufactured by Herman Miller in the United States, and Vitra International, in Europe.
The design duo left a vital legacy that millions still cherish. Our goal today is both to share that legacy with you and to build upon it.
