Style Board
The entire house is protected by a ceramic mesh resembling a sheer dress stretching from the top to the bottom of the building. With its earthly natural colors and organic texture, this shell provides a beautiful feeling of home and a warmth that invites you in.
The shell allows an incredible amount of light to enter the building but prevents any direct sunlight in order to keep the inside cool. It is followed by a layer of greenery that gives the interior a touch of freshness and a well-needed accent. The trees run all around the building while at times sneaking out from the openings of the facade. The interior spaces open up to this vertical garden with balconies and decks while blending seamlessly with it throughout the building.
Color is abundant in the Bat Trang House, yet it is not out of place. The tones of warm orange and earth have given the house a familiar tropical character that sits wonderfully with the greenery and landscape surrounding it. The interior adapts the palette as it becomes an extension of the ceramic shell. Dark contrast points are provided through timber finishes of the ceiling, cabinets, frames, and furniture while surfaces are left rough and organic. There is, however, very little complication with loose furniture; a simple selection that includes a leather sofa, a solid wood table, and 2 iconic chairs.
