It’s a balancing play; the balance of simplicity, proportion and function; and each element plays its role to achieve it.

Designed by Tom Fereday, an Australian designer who believes design should be honest and true to materials and process, the Mito Light is the result of a perfect harmony between purpose and geometry. The dome reflectors are the star of the show; indirectly reflecting the warm light, while displaying an act of balance and proportion by carefully floating along a single stem.
The Mito lighting series was designed to celebrate the natural beauty and character of raw materials. Minimal in design, Mito juxtaposes precision manufacturing techniques with natural hand finished timbers and stones to create a truly sculptural light.

The light is modular and come in a variety of both wall sconce and floor lamp configurations. The domes can also be rotated to face any direction. The material used for the Mito light are what makes this design shine. The black stem is complimented with either wood or marble while staying true to the nature of each material.
The lamp has an incredibly strong personalty. It will be the first thing you notice in a room. This strong character is a result of understanding scale and a balanced contrast between forms. The round domes have a smaller circle inside making sure the round shapes don’t go unnoticed. The verticality of the stem and the strength of the base further enhance the contrast between the components when paired with the reflectors.
