Inspired by classic Danish furniture, the collection of low and high stools by Space Copenhagen for Mater is a perfect example of timeless design. 

The classic outlook and modern mood of these stools are what makes them unique; a blend of old and new in a tasteful fashion. The goal was to create a New Danish Classic, a modern take on a rather familiar taste; an approach that Space Copenhagen took to bring back the glory of Scandinavian wooden furniture.

These stools come in 3 sizes, a low stool and 2 different sizes of a high stool, all which have an organic yet classic minimal style and are suited for almost all sorts of spaces.

The ambition is to forge new paths by balancing opposites — classic and modern, industrial and organic, sculptural and minimal, light and shade. Duality and contrast. Curiosity as a fundamental human condition.

Mater takes great pride in their efforts to use FSC certified wood in manufacturing furniture, a label for responsible forestry. These stools are no different. There is however an edition to the High Stool made from recycled aluminum that has a shiny edge over the original models. It is a more daring version of a piece of furniture that might not be as loud as some others.
