Nestled in the heart of Mexico, Villa ITO seamlessly blends the rugged beauty of central Mexican landscapes with a touch of contemporary Japanese allure. Dominated by the cool and unapologetic presence of concrete, Villa ITO boasts an unadorned, industrial-chic aesthetic that envelops the entire residence.
Within the villa, concrete reigns supreme, adorning both the floors and walls, creating a unified canvas upon which the carefully curated furnishings take center stage. The deliberate scarcity of furniture allows the architecture to breathe and is punctuated by a striking focal point – the fireplace lounge.
Here, a juxtaposition of a black-accented lounge chair and the raw texture of wooden tables creates an arresting space that encapsulates the house’s industrial yet contemporary aesthetic.
The raw, organic forms found throughout Villa ITO extend beyond the lounge area, making appearances as benches, stools, and handcrafted vases.
This thoughtful incorporation of natural elements enhances the design’s cohesion, resulting in a home that is a true embodiment of modern elegance, where concrete and nature intertwine to form an architectural symphony.
