First introduced at the Copenhagen Cabinetmakers’ Guild Exhibition in 1935, The Tired Man has become a Danish design icon. Designed by Flemming Lassen, the armchair’s soft curves and enveloping form were meant to feel “as warm and snug as a polar bear cub in the arms of its mother.”
Relaunched in 2015, the award-winning chair is available in plush upholstery, including sheepskin as a tribute to the original, with solid oak legs in natural or dark-oiled finishes and brass casters for easy movement. A matching footstool adds to its comfort.
