Founded in 1993 by Luis De Oliveira and Fatima De La Espada, the company began in London at a time when contemporary furniture was still hard to find. Since then, De La Espada has grown into a globally recognized brand with a creative base in London and a sales presence in New York City.

At the center of its operations is a solar-powered factory on Portugal’s Silver Coast, where every piece is crafted from solid wood using a mix of traditional and modern techniques. With design development in London, hands-on production in Portugal, and international reach through New York, De La Espada brings together refined craftsmanship and thoughtful design across continents.
