Designed by Ayush Kasliwal, a designer based in Jaipur India, the Bowl Table is a unique fusion of Eastern and Western styles. It has an outlook rooted in the design heritage of India, but is then complimented with fine and precise lines to make it suitable for the modern space. The table is a perfect reflection of Ayush’s understanding of material and form that make the table unique in the way it presents itself; it’s a table, while humbly offering to hold on to the objects placed on top of it.

Products have their own eco-system. They carry with them their history – as in how and where they are made, and their future – as in where they will go to.

The table top is made from sustainably sourced Mango Wood. It is produced through an Indian wood turning technique in order to showcase the traditional crafts of the local community in India. It is connected to 3 black legs made from milled hollow steel rods that can be detached for easy transportation.

Although these tables were originally designed with a Mango Wood top, there are several other iterations of it available as well. The aluminum version of these tables offer a rather shiny and industrial feel, while the more traditional versions with various paintings on the top open up a window to the rich Indian history and heritage.

All the versions have great merit, each with distinctive personalities; and perhaps this is what makes them special. It can adjust to all sorts of spaces and styles and will blend effortlessly with the setting of the room.
