Light + Ladder began with Farrah Sit’s concept of quietly minimalist and sensitive design. With a background in CK Home and the desire to walk away from the commonlt spread disposable consumerism attitude, Farrah Began her studio with a focus on the intimate process of crafting an object by hand. Her approach made her understand materials and gave an organic character to her designs.

In 2011, inspired by her overflowing collection of plants in her small Brooklyn abode, Farrah created the Spora planter, the piece that would mark the birth of the Light + Ladder collection. Since then, she has continued to explore her creativity concurrently through her eponymous high-end lighting and furniture work.
