What gives the handwoven shades of Twenty One Tonnes their character is how each piece has been carefully handwoven which makes them unique, different, and one-of-a-kind. They are mostly crafted from elephant grass by female artists in Northern Ghana and often take inspiration from natural elements such as Landslide or Fawn Mushrooms for their wavy undulating shape.

These pieces are mainly offered as shades only with the exception of a few pendant lights, table lights, and floor lights.

Due to their natural and organic outlooks, these shades can be easily introduced in a wide range of interior styles and settings. They can be used in a brutalist setting to soften the textures and bring a bit of softness and coziness to the space, or as part of a modern setting to introduce a natural feel next to the shine and glamour of a modern interior.

They can also be integrated into coastal, contemporary, or rustic homes, where everything is casual and effortless and these shades will easily blend in with the surrounding.
