AKFD is a design studio based in Jaipur, India, with a focus on local crafts in an effort to develop furniture that suite the modern lifestyle. His designs represent a mixture of different styles; a fusion of old and new that offers the best of both worlds.

Ayush Kasliwal believes that a product’s design is strong only when it succeeds to establish a pure connection with its user; an experience he addresses as bringing value to the user’s way of life. He also puts great emphasis on the role of the person or people who have brought the piece to life.

Key among these things is to use – less; and to use more of less, like reusing, like getting things that last. And so is the case with luxury products – use things that age beautifully, that have value over time.
